20100208: Leo on his & Hector's visit to Sigi's

from Leo on his & Hector's visit to the Sequeiras:

Date: 8 February 2010 06:15

dear maxie
hector has accepted a one-year assignment in mangalore. so we decided to visit our fellow boarders before he leaves. we bussed down to palya, sigi took us home.
he has built a nice, cosy place with imagination and toil. grows some coffee, pepper, fruit, assorted vegetation. fresh, clean air in idyllic, pastoral environs. God's own country. a refreshing change from ugly, polluted bangalore!
visiting a plantation after half a century brought back a lot of memories. sigi cooked up a storm, spoiled us rotten. we imbibed, partook, and made merrry. visited the sequeira homestead at alloovalli, met the family.

attached a few pics fr our blog.
cheers .........

Delightful indeed....
Even though I was not there, could live through the experience you guys had...
....especially when you talked of the Sequeira homestead at Aluvalli Estate.

I remember very well the property on the (Bagya-Arehalli Road) since the time Sigi and Red's dad bought it and arrived to settle in the vicinity of Saklespur - may be in the mid-50s (?).

We were still little kids then. During vacation holidays the families would invariably bump into each other at Sunday Mass - mostly at the Saklespur Parish Church, or at times at the Sundekere Chapel Sunday facility.
Real nostalgic memories....

Would have been so lovely for Sigi and Reddi to see these pictures on display on the Blog...
With all good wishes to them,
Maxie
