Dear friends,
Just to let you know I am back in Delhi - with just a minimissal percentage of my Mangalore mission accomplished, and the remaining all put off to a future date!
But in between, I did manage to vist Harry Saldanha and spend a couple of delightful hours with him and his sweet wife Cherry at their penthouse appartment in Falnir's "Symphony" on Sturrock Road. Enjoyed their hospitality too and shared their table at lunch. For the record, I am posting here on this Blog a few pictures I clicked on the occasion.
Not sure whether the judge in the courtcase that summoned me to Mangalore was fighting shy to encounter me,; at least it appeared so to me, for the scheduled 'hearing' did not happen - the judge having taken off on a holiday, I was told, with his family. What does he care what impact his whims has on people's lives and (as in my case) on their finances!!!! Sixteen thousand bucks that cost me to fly down and back, just down the drain!
Consequently, despite all good intentions, I just could not rendezvous
with the rest of the classmates... Right out of the Court disappointment, I took off to the estates, from where to return only last night - just in time for my return flight to Delhi this morning....
With best wishes,
Maxie
