Thanks for the pictures. I hope you had a good Easter. We have a little over a month for our reunion.
Court cases are always a lot of tension. But the great thing is we resolve the issues in a civilized manner.
Sincerely

Hi Maxie,
Nice that U R back in circulation. Read your mail on your recent escapades in Mangalore. I had also met Harry very recently. I wonder why that blighter gave U a lunch but took one from me with beer. I will make up for this from him next time I meet him at leisure.
Due to unavoidable family commitments, we two will be in Mangalore only on 19.06.10. We have to be in Mysore on 20th June morning positively. One day meeting with all should, at least, break the ice as they say. We can follow it up with emails. We will reach Mangalore on the morn of 19th Jun by train - reserved already.
When R U visiting the Bang gang? We could have a good get together!
Keep in touch. Rgds,
Prabhakar

Hey Harry,
The pleasure was entirely mine...
Not only catching up with you, but meeting Cherry too after so so many years (maybe I have not met her for thirty years or more). Look forward to meeting y'all again, on my next visit.
Need Cherry's email 'id'. Want to ask her about some kitchen and table stuff. I sampled the Mangalorean red boiled rice during meals in at least four different places during this M'lore visit. Enjoyed it everywhere, but found the quality of what Cherry served at the lunch on 7th April, the best. Wanted to know where does she buy her 'kozo' rice from. Want to carry a 5-Kg bag of that one when I return after my next visit!
With warm regards to both of you,
Maxie

Hi Maxie and friends,
Thank you for the lovely photographs with Harry and cherry, I visited their penthouse in October 2008. lovely place with great views of Mangalore.
Spoke to Harry on Sunday, things are moving well our great day, he is hoping to have a second meeting soon.
Ossie sent me an e-mail regarding Jude Thomas, that he has returned back to Dubai, let us hope we can contact him. If anyone of us have family or friends over in Dubai they might be able trace him - Mangalorean Association or Kerala association !
I am so glad we managed to trace Josie.
Sudhir Rao and Vasanth Kamath need to be traced soon. both used live in Kulshekar and Vasanth Kamath's dad was in the cashew business and their house was next to the Peirce Leslie cashew factory. Both being GSB, I am sure Trilochan should be able to help !! Trilochan please make note!!!
I have booked my tickets and will be in Mangalore on the 17th. evening and will leave Mangalore on the 21st. morning , all excited.
love to all

Hey Arun,
I have a couple of nieces and cousins in Dubai. Have enlisted their help to try track down Jude... Gist of what I wrote to them, reads like-------
"....Not sure whether or not I mentioned to u earlier, about my sslc school
leaving batch of 1960 meeting for a 50-yrs-after REUNION this June.
For which purpose we are desperately trying to track down all our erstwhile classmates across the world. One of them is Jude Thomas whose last known whereabouts have been tracked down to Dubai.
leaving batch of 1960 meeting for a 50-yrs-after REUNION this June.
For which purpose we are desperately trying to track down all our erstwhile classmates across the world. One of them is Jude Thomas whose last known whereabouts have been tracked down to Dubai.
Now how does one go about locating Jude Thomas (most likely a Keralite - or a Kerala Anglo-Indian of around 65-67 years in age) - Dubai Kerala Assn? ,,,,Mangalorean Assn? ....Dubai Catholic/ Protestant Church? Any other ideas?
Jude Thomas my classmate was a sports person who in addition to his prowess in Athletics, captained the school hockey and football teams. Because of his popularity among seniors and school management, most of us his classmates only got to hero-worship him and not really befriend him as perhaps we should have. Not surprisingly, he just disappeared from our lives once we graduated from school - and now we have to find him for the REUNION of our batch.
So do spread the word around in your circles, and whoever else u
feel could help.. Thanks.."

Likewise Arun, I believe everyone among our classmates would also have their own Dubai contacts. If all made similar effort, perhaps finding Jude in Dubai shd not be too difficult...
With warm regards,
Maxie

Hi Maxie,
Thanks for the lovely pictures. You look great. Could you please tell us the secret of your youth. You look like a kombo.

Hey Terrence,
Thanks a ton for your compliments...
How I wish I felt youthful too, like a kombo...!!!!!!!
Unfortunately time and tide they say waits for none! ....and I believe I am not younger than any of you - or at least most of you! All the whites in my hair do testify to that...
Coming back to the 'kombo' part of your comment, "mojea boglyanth kombi naa re, saiba!" .....may be this fact has something to do with it?
Looking forward to meeting you in June, Terrence...
With warm regards,
Maxie

My plan is to be in Mangalore on 18th. I fly back from Cochin on 23rd. So I will leave Mangalore on 21 evening. i have not worked the details.
Normally my visit to Mangalore is 24 hours. I stay at a guest room at my sister's convent (Mary Imacculate convent, Bondel) for a night. My sister Sr. Angeline will come to Dallas,TX for a visit tomorrow mainly to spend some time with my 90 year old mother. I will be going there on May 8th for three days to see her. I will finalize details of my stay in Mangalore at that time.
Harry has booked a room for me for two nights at the club.
As I told you Tessy will return to US on June 7th. So I will be alone. I hope to have a few meetings with as many class mates as pssible even before the official reunion. I do not know if their schedules will be flexible enough.
I will send you my sister's phone number in Mangalore later. I do not know if I will have a mobile.

Hey Raphael,
Thanks for the updates on your June programme.. and itinerary!
i) One clarification though.... if I recall, you also had plans to accompany your daughter on a Delhi visit in the second week of June - after Tessy returns to the States soon after your family engagements in Kerala. Have those Delhi plans been dropped?
ii) Thought I will bring another small matter to your notice too - I wondered who you were heralding in when I saw among the addressees you had listed for this message one Herald Saldanha..... !!! If it is our Harry you wanted to address, I believe his name is spelt "Harold" and not "Herald". If by any chance I have spoken out of turn and you are right in your spelling, my apologies to you in advance!
iii) While I intend spending all my time on 19th and 20th June with the "gang" at the REUNION venue, I am not sure I will spend the nights there, considering the sprinkling of relatives I still have left in Mangalore, and they expecting I do not ignore them or their existence whenever I am in Mangalore or manage to show my face in M'lore. Even so I will play it by ear and decide nearer the dates...
Do let me know about the Delhi visit...
With warm regards,
Maxie
