Lovely to hear from you after all these years. i am so proud of your achievements in the Police force and each time I read your name in the Indian papers, I would proudly boast that you were my classmate from class 4 to FormVI. Hello Arun,
Was happy to hear from you...
Yes, memories of you are very vivid for more reasons than one!
If I recall right, your family also bought our house "Sukh Sagar" from my dad after we left Mangalore? ...or so I had gathered, I believe, when my brother Manohar and I were in college - studying at St Joseph's in Bangalore.
My son Prashanth (goes as Anthony in the UK) studied at the Imperial College in London, and is currently an investment banker with the Belgian banking company KBC in London. With his wife and little son, he lives in Manor Fields at Putney - SW15 3LU. His telephone number at the residence is 0208-780-2496. That's were I will be over the first week of February. Do give me a call when you are back from India. I will also remember to call you between the 4th and the 6th. Even though it is five years since I have retired from active service, my constant lament to people is that no one really lets me or wants me to retire. Apart from being dragged to the TV-channel studios for panel discussions and for commenting on all matters concerning internal security of the country (terrorism, Indo-Pak relations, Kashmir imbroglio, insurgency, or even matters concerning day to day policing - crimes, riots, rapes and murders), I am also a not-so-regular-now columnist in many of the Indian Newspapers; so would like to believe there is never a dull moment for me. One could interpret this both ways - good and bad!
But seriously, a medical query to you... what do I do about an attrocious memory? I feel so humbled when others can remember more, or better than me! I was horrified to note most of my classmates' names meant nothing to me, the memory cells refusing to throw up any images or episodes that'd help connect or recollect many of those in the group photograph that you sent. I am so ashamed of this fact.
Do tell me about yourself - family, children, migration, achievements of course, life in Enland, whatever...
I look forward to being in touch.
With warm regards,
Maxie

Maxwell Pereira to Stany Coelho
07 Dec 2009 08:14:31 +0530Dear Stany,
At least four of the email addresses seem to be having a problem, for emails sent to them have bounced. They are, of Rex D'Souza, Leo D'Cunha, one indicated as *lourdes-judy-lobo*, and another. Raphael's too kept returning with an undelivered report from Mail Delivery System, but apparently the his email address is correct, only delivery problem there.
I am enjoying the exitement all around, which I sense from the flurry of email activity flitting across the globe and into our inboxes - even with the limited number of email addresses currently available with us.
Thank you guys, once again, for your pioneering initiative.
With best regards,
Maxie

Dear Norman - Kadalgundi,

Sorry about the mistake, I do remember he had the sexy slant 'come hither look' and lived behind the soda shop almost opposite the vas lane, whereas you lived well inside the vas lane not very far from Harry/Loy and Bopayya's house. Our dads used to know each other well and if I remember right your dad was a solicitor.Pity I didn't know you were in Bombay, my late mum and dad lived at Santa Cruz west - main avenue opposite St. Theresas Convent, and so did my late brother Nalin. Next visit we must have a drink or two together.I am so glad you are going to make it for the class reunion.let us make it grand.

keep in touch

Love....... Arun
