Maxwell Pereira to Leo D’Cunha
18 Dec 2009
Dear Leo,
Good to hear from you...
The copy of my mail to Cyril that you received, was also copied to you and the rest of our batchmates -- so it did not land in your mailbox by accident. So as not to clutter the recepient's inbox and the message frame on the computer screen, when it is more than one or two who are to be copied (CCd) a message, I only Backgound Copy (BCC) the mailing list. If everyone followed this email protocol/etiquette, one is saved of the series of comets of email addresses that clutter messages in every Forward or a Reply - and more importantly would secure to some extent against piracy the sender's and the Recepients' email addresses.
And Leo, I am quite regular at accessing my mail, and alert at clearing the follow up within the same 24hrs, as I pay dearly for a slip when it occurs - at times detrimental to the health of my varied interests, apart from incurring the wrath at times of my friends who feel ignored.
Thanks a ton for updating me on your address and other contact details.
If you are on Milton Street, you must also be close to where Rex lives (I forget the name of the street, but used to visit often the house where his mother lived. Haven't had any contact with Rex after we left school, but have been in touch with his bro-in-law Orville and some of the family. I will make it a point to meet you and the rest in Bangalore (Prabhakar, Rex, any more? etc) when I visit the city next.
As regards our proposed reunion activity, I have contained all the messages and relevant information to my Blog specially opened for information and interaction between all the batchmates of our class that passed-out of St Aloysius School in 1960. I will be sharing the web-link URL with all of you shortly.
I am off to the US for Christmas with my children – and will return only in February 2010.
A very Merry Christmas to you and the family. May the Star of Bethlehem Light up your lives with Joy, Peace and abundant Blessings.
With warm regards,
Maxie
