School leader in our final year, a great sportsman and outstanding athlete, who brought many laurels to his alma mater; someone all of us - especially those in the 'E' section of which he was part of - were proud of. Was with me in the School Boarding House too - became BH leader there too - till he clashed with the BH Director on a minor matter of discipline and preferred to walk out.
Had the privilege of his personal friendship in later life when he and his wife Rosemary were generous hosts to me as a bachelor in Bangalore; and prior to that, his home in Madras was my pad when I visited that city for the UPSC interview that launched me into the IPS. Victor's son Vishal is on email with me, but unfortunately not Vishal's parents - which needs to be remedied.
Quite a delight it was to surprise Victor and Rosemany at their "White House" on Kadri Temple Road in Mangalore, and catch up on telephone - thanks to the numbers provided in the circulated list.
