Leo D’Cunha - Remembered 50yrs after 1960

Don't know which year or class Leo joined my class. All I remember is that I always envied the guy for his looks. He was indeed a very good-looking guy with light eyes! We were also fellow boarders - with more opportunity for comraderie and interaction. But for some reason we were always sparring; and we were great fibbers too, not losing a single opportunity for one-upmanship. I believe he used to beat me hollow; I stood no chance against whatever it was he could come up with.

Vaguely remember being told that his dad was distantly related to my dad, but never got down to finding out how.

Leo's younger brother Joe was my brother Manu's classmate - not only in school, but also in med school in the first batch of St John's.

Post school, had learnt he had joined some private sector in Calcutta. Some time in the early ninetees, from out of the blue had heard from Leo when his daughter was to visit Delhi for an interview. I had occasion thereafter to meet Leo in person in Bangalore on one of my visits there. Apparently he had settled down in Bangalore after he finished with Calcutta (?).
